Sarah Dyke failed to vote for a full inquiry into Grooming Gangs last night.
Although the Lib Dems claim they have an amendment further along the process of this Bill, it is a shame they walked out and didn't even vote. Not even an abstention! A very sad political game...

Labour have so far announced five toothless local ‘audits’, but these won't deliver justice for victims.
- They will not have the ability to compel witnesses, or force witnesses to give evidence under oath.
- They will not lead to convictions, and they will not be properly funded by central government.
- This will not lead to proper justice for the victims.
A full national inquiry is still needed because over 50 towns and cities across our country have been blighted by these gangs.
We cannot simply allow culpable councils to mark their own homework.
Shamefully, Sir Keir Starmer is still hiding behind the complete myth that action can’t be taken for victims if a National Inquiry was put in place.
That’s a lie. And it’s time we, as a country, started telling the truth.
