Meet Lilli Osborn - your local candidate for the Glastonbury Council by-election on 23 October 2025
Lilli is local, unlike most of the candidates standing in this by-election. She lives just off Glastonbury High Street and has done for the last seven years.
She was a teacher for nearly thirty years, working in mainstream secondary, Special Needs and Ethnic Minority Achievement as an advisory teacher with responsibility for Gypsy, Roma & Traveller learners in Hillingdon secondary schools.
Since coming to live in Glastonbury she has been employed as a domiciliary care worker and she is currently an independent metal capacity advocate (IMCA).
She cares about the town and has served as a Glastonbury Town Councillor since June 2022. She already has a track record of speaking up for residents and fighting on issues that matter to them. She has been particularly vocal in opposing unauthorised encampments, irregularities in the Town Deal and fighting for better public transport and against local hospital closures.
She has spoken to hundreds of people about what changes they want to see and if elected, she will focus on the things you’ve said matter to you:-
- Homes not caravans – by finding a permanent site and proposing by-laws to keep our streets free of illegally parked caravans.
- Calling for an investigation into the Life Factory – so that the local contractors, who are owed thousands, get the money they deserve and the fraudsters get brought to justice.
- Residents before tourists – restrict Airbnb’s, build affordable homes and social housing, residents parking and zero tolerance to anti-social behaviour, drugs and street drinking.
So on 23rd October - vote local, vote for Lilli Osborn to get a councillor who will put Glastonbury first.
