Somerset County Councillor for Bruton and Wincanton
It was incredible to be elected to represent Wincanton and Bruton for the new County Council. As an elected District Councillor I had some experience but it’s still been a huge learning curve and most of the time it feels as though my feet barely touch the ground!
I was honoured to be appointed Opposition Lead for Public Health. For this role I sit on the Health and Wellbeing Board as well as attending Scrutiny for both Children and Families and Adults and Health and I’m also on the newly-formed Member Equality Steering Group.
My continuing work on local issues is really important to me, I even left my job in order to be able to give all the time I could to the role. My work is so varied but supporting the people I represent continues to be my priority and I remain ever grateful to them for their support.
